Elizabeth Greene is an Attorney and a Partner in Mirick O’Connell, where she has practiced law for 25 years. She is a member of the Firm’s Litigation and Health Law Groups. She serves as counsel for physicians, medical groups, hospitals, and other health care professionals, defending them in medical malpractice cases, representing them before their professional licensure boards, and advising providers on medical staff issues, business and professional disputes. Elizabeth serves as chair of the Physician Issues Interest Group for the American Bar Association’s Health Law Section.
Elizabeth shares the Foundation’s values and interests in serving our community. She serves as chair of the Board of Trustees and chairs the grants committee for Reliant Foundation. She is also a board member and former chair of the advocacy committee for the American Heart and Stroke Associations, Central MA Division. She is the past chair of the Central MA Division Board of Directors for the AHA/ASA, and is a past member of its Northeast Affiliate Board of Directors, where she served on several committees. For the past 22 years, she has served as a leader in numerous community, fundraising and advocacy events for the AHA/ASA. In 2003, Elizabeth was honored as the AHA’s Northeast Affiliate Division Volunteer of the Year; in 2011, she received the Heart of the Mission award; and in 2013, she received the Heart of Gold Honor.
Elizabeth earned her B.A. from Brandeis University with a degree in Linguistics and Cognitive Science, and her J.D. from Boston University School of Law. In 2002, she was selected by the Worcester Business Journal as one of “40 under Forty” professionals honored for their professional excellence and community service. Since 2013, Elizabeth has been named a Massachusetts “Super Lawyer” by Boston magazine and Law & Politics, and has been selected by her peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America. She has also been selected as one of the Top Women Attorneys in Massachusetts.
Elizabeth lives in Southborough with her family. In addition to her law practice and volunteer work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Jim, and their adult sons, Daniel and Joseph, and their rescued pets. She also volunteers as a board member with the Southborough Extended Day Program, and volunteers with BSA Troop 1, Southborough, where her husband is the Scoutmaster.
